by Sanderson at the end of this novella recommends that it’s an essential read to understand a minimum of one (and also maybe 2) character advancements that are suddenly provided in the upcoming Oathbringer without being treated completely in that novel. The initial 2 books in the Stormlight Archive truly are called for analysis in order to completely appreciate Edgedancer– and specifically to recognize character inspirations.
Admittedly, I was one that did not such as Raise a great deal on my very first read of Words of Brilliance– but she grew on my by my second read-through in preparation for Oathbringer and when I discovered Edgedancer I decided it would certainly be worth it to invest a little even more time with Lift.
